Spinning Down Roller Derby Calendar for time being

I’ve been running the service on Render since the service launched and unfortunately the application has been costing far too much for how much it is being used. I’ve considered moving the service to a different hosting solution but there’s a bunch of work involved that wouldn’t really bring any value so it’s hard to justify.

Instead I’m going to be looking into building a simpler product to make it easy to stay on top of upcoming roller derby events.

To everyone who used the product, even if it was to try it out. Thank you!

To show my appreciation, I’ve released the source code to Roller Derby Calendar under the GNU Affero GPL v3 so that anyone who wants to bring this online and keep it operational can do so.
