Billing
Much of this week was spent on integrating the billing system. This involved signing up for a credit card processor and making sure the libraries we are going to use for billing were working correctly in development.
Billing hasn’t been turned on for production yet, so leagues that are in the pre-launch period need not worry. Though, this does bring us to the next section
Limits have been introduced
Hard limits have been added to Roller Derby Calendar for any league on a free account (currently everyone). The current limit is 20 bouts, which should be more than enough for any of the leagues at the moment.
Once we get closer to going public this limit will be dropping dramatically.
Crashes, Performance & Miscellaneous
- The application has been approved by Google for Single-Sign On! Signing in and creating accounts using your google account is 100% supported now
- Added warning tags and notifications to bouts that do not have application forms. This is to draw awareness to a missing application form for an event
- Related to the previous, publicly accessible events no longer crash if they don’t have application forms.
- Fixed a bug where applicants pending review could be assigned to crews
- Restrict crew creation until applications have been approved and games have been set up
- Fix the Bout form to require a fully filled out event location
- Removed the Officiating Crews and Games listing pages. These pages were adding friction from editing crews or games and getting back to the event management page
- Fixed an issue where team pages would crash if the viewer was not logged in
